Chuck Durand

1967 -2004
Chuck Durand was one of those precious few who could see creativity in everyone. He saw a dancer in the waitress, a writer in the cook, an artist in the bartender, a painter in the stock-boy and a photographer in a cashier. Not only did he see this potential, he rallied for it, he yelled for it, he demanded it. He gave so many people the wings to fly. He embodied "art" and he truly was magic.
He was more family than a friend to so many and those he left behind will never be the same. My heart goes out to his precious Lisa, whom he loved from the very first moment that he laid eyes on her.
When I look back over my life, there will be a handful of angels who have helped guide me onto the path that I am meant to travel... Chuck Durand was one of those people. My closest friends, this website, my photography, my very camera and who I am today would never have been possible without him. He saw possibility and potential in me that even I could not. I feel so blessed that for one fleeting moment in time he was a part of my world. If any of my images have ever touched you, thank him for giving me the courage to shoot again.
I love you Chucky --- You stubborn, beautiful, headstrong, talented, giving, funny, friend. Thank you for everything. I will miss you
