|The past few months have been AMAZING! I’ve travelled all over the South East shooting the Oral History Program for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. So far we have captured the life stories of Rick Hall, Spooner Oldham, Steve Cropper, Alex Cooley and Percy Sledge; as told by them. We have several more lined up including Brenda Lee, Phil Everly & The Crickets!|
On the photography front, I’ve done several new album covers for my friends over at Compass Records. Peter Rowan, The Gibson Brothers, Claire Lynch and The Bankesters. I have also had the opportunity to shoot photos for so many talented artists, from burlesque queen Truvy Trollop to the Grammy award winning band, The Kentucky Headhunters. My biggest thrill on the still photo front this year has to be the big commission I received via the SOHO Myriad to provide numerous images for the permanent collection at the brand new Nashville Omni Hotel!
I have been able to sit in on some amazing recording sessions from Amelia White, Audrey Auld and a really special session for Eric Brace & Peter Cooper who just happened to have the likes of Duane Eddy, Mac Wiseman and Marty Stuart singing and playing on "She's Mad".
I’m super excited about all of the Kickstarter videos I’ve been asked to make for Rod Picott, Amelia White and Will Kimbrough. And of course, I’ve done a few music videos. The beautiful Kelly Lang and I collaborated on another gorgeous piece for her new song, “The Next One”. I got to spend a few days down in lovely Cocoa Beach Florida to make “Tip A Can” for Flynnville Train, and I got to team up with my old friend Todd Snider for the cover of “Why Can’t We Be Friends” that he did with The Turbo Fruits for his movie “East Nashville Tonight”.
I can’t even wait to see what’s coming! Hopefully I will spot you all with my lens down the road. They say it goes on forever and the party never ends. I sure hope so!
